New Bridge for Creek Crossing
at Charleston Falls
The Park has
completed of a new bridge at Charleston Falls Preserve over Charleston
Creek at the lower creek crossing. Previously, it was necessary to use
the large stepping stones or wade across.
The bridge itself,
constructed by Lavy Construction, is made from treated lumber and
matches the architecture of the other bridges at Charleston Falls
Preserve. The bridge is approximately 30 feet long and is designed for
foot traffic only. The bridge will make it much easier for the
public to cross the water; leaving the stepping stones for the
more adventurous hikers. |
