Volunteering doesn’t just help the Park District; it helps the community and you!
Are you sick of your same routine? Want to have a great time while doing something for your community? Want to explore Your Parks? If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, consider becoming a volunteer for the Miami County Park District.
By becoming a volunteer, you not only get to know the different parks you gain new experiences. It is also a great way to improve your physical and mental health. Did you know that spending time outdoors increases your concentration, elevates your mood, and raises vitamin D levels? With all these benefits, why wouldn’t you want to volunteer?
Who can be a Volunteer?
Anyone who wants to help make a difference can be a volunteer. You don’t have to love being outdoors or have prior experience. The Park District offers training and a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit your interests and skill set.
The hours you spend volunteering can be used as part of community service requirements. Children under the age of 12 require a parent or guardian’s supervision.
We also have special customized volunteer opportunities available for corporations and organizations.
